Herat University established a committee for the international journal (the committee) in the framework of the academic research center at Herat University. The members of the committee have been selected based on their Ph.D. education level and according to their merit and history of publication in the international journal.

Name of journal: after careful consideration and discussion in the committee, the name of the international journal of Herat University decided to be “Afghanistan Research Journal (ARJ) – Herat University”. This name was approved by the members of the committee unanimously.For the purpose of establishment of ARJ, the factsheet, guideline for authors and relevant documentts were prepared and approved by the committee.It is agreed that the ARJ be published in quarterly basis. Two scopes will be covered: Natural Sciences and Social Sciences. Articles for Natural Sciences will be published solely in English Language and the author required to provide a Farsi abstract too; while the articles for Social Sciences will be published in either English or Farsi, with the abstract written in both languages.
